We have started the year hitting the ground running at Tadweld with exciting projects, fantastic news on employee engagement, and well-deserved promotions. Here’s a round-up of what’s been happening.
New Year, New Jobs
We kicked off 2025 by completing a sleek and practical 4-way access stair to make movement between conveyor lines both simple and safe.
The structure is manufactured from galvanised mild steel, featuring aluminium checker plate treads and stainless steel food-grade handrails.
This project was measured, designed, manufactured, and installed by our talented team. A brilliant way to start the year!

Celebrating Outstanding Employee Engagement Results
We recently received our 2024 employee engagement survey results—and the outcome has us all smiling!
Happy employees are at the heart of everything we do, which is why “being an outstanding employer for our people” is a top priority. Seeing our results come in 19% above the national average and 12% higher than last year confirms that we’re on the right track.
Special thanks go to our fantastic team and our survey partners, PRO-DEVELOPMENT (UK) LIMITED, for helping us make Tadweld a place where people thrive. To quote Simon Sinek: “Customers will never love a company until the employees love it first.”
We’ve gathered some excellent feedback, too, which will help us improve even further over the next 12 months.

Exciting New Roles for Tadweld Staff Members
We’re thrilled to share that James Bowman and Martin Selby have stepped into new roles as Project Manager and Engineering Manager respectively.
James has been with us since 2016, starting as a Welder/Fabricator before becoming Health & Safety Coordinator in 2022. In 2023, he moved to the office as a Project Engineer, excelling in customer service, site surveys, and RAMS. We’re delighted to see him take on the newly created role of Project Manager.
Martin joined us in 2024 as a Senior Engineer, bringing over 25 years of experience in structural and architectural steelwork. His impressive portfolio includes iconic projects like The Kelpies at Falkirk and numerous statement bridges across the UK. With his knowledge and natural leadership, Martin was the perfect fit for Engineering Manager.
We are proud to promote from within and wish both James and Martin every success in their new roles!

Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week
Apprentices are an integral part of Tadweld’s success story. They make up 15% of our workforce, and many of our current team members started as apprentices themselves.
This month, we celebrated National Apprenticeship Week, which took place from 5th – 11th February by recognising the value these roles bring to our company and the wider manufacturing industry. Investing in the next generation of skilled professionals will always be a priority for Tadweld.
