Tadweld were approached by a leading, multi-site, natural oils producer to offer a bespoke solution to several safe access issues, as part of their continual safety improvement programme.
Our technical lead for our Ajax brand attended site a number of times to discuss the clients requirements, involving all departments from health and safety, senior management, operations and logistics. An all-encompassing solution was needed to satisfy the needs all involved.
Our proposal was to supply our Ajax mobile platform to one site where space was restricted, and a full gantry and Pneumatic Ajax step unit to another site where space was readily available. Both solutions work well for the client and have resolved the individual needs for each site.
Challenge:
- The client required a bespoke solution for multiple safe access issues.
- The solutions needed to accommodate input from multiple departments: Health & Safety, Senior Management and Operations and Logistics.
- Each site presented different spatial and operational constraints, requiring tailored solutions.

Our technical lead for Ajax and Business Development Manager Mike Godbert, conducted multiple site visits to assess needs and engage the various departments.
Tadweld developed a site-specific dual-solution:
Site 1 (restricted space)- we supplied an Ajax mobile platform for flexible, compact access. Site 2 (ample space)- we delivered a full gantry combined with a Pneumatic Ajax step unit for permanent, safe access.
Results:
- Improved safety for personnel at both sites.
- Increased operational efficiency without disrupting workflows.
- Full alignment with the client’s safety improvement goals.
