August & September at Tadweld

As summer draws to a close and the seasons change, we are as busy as ever at Tadweld, with community projects, large-scale operations and internal updates.

Making a splash in Tadcaster

We were recently asked to design, fabricate, and install new access steps for Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool—a local project that we were particularly excited to take on.

The new steps, generously funded by the legacy of a former pool user, are specifically designed to offer easier access for individuals who may find traditional pool ladders challenging.

From the initial design to the final installation, we took great care to ensure that the steps not only met the practical requirements of the pool but also aligned with safety regulations and aesthetic considerations.

It was a pleasure to help a local business with something that is so worthwhile and will help a lot of people in our community.

London to Yorkshire: Phase 2 Complete

This summer, we have been helping a large-scale lift and shift for a client from London all the way to Yorkshire.

So far, we have helped them by getting all of the process equipment loaded into place. Additionally, new access stairs and handrail have been added, as well as additional platforming and conveyor routes. Smaller jobs and finishing touches meant that we successfully completed the second phase of the project.

In January 2025, we will return for the final phase which we are extremely excited about.

Ideas Group film at Tadweld

Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ideas Group to Tadweld. They captured fantastic footage of our facilities, which was used to highlight York and North Yorkshire’s strength as a manufacturing region of excellence. We are honoured to have been included in this exciting project that promotes our region as a hub for innovation, craftsmanship, and economic growth.

The video, commissioned by Invest in York & North Yorkshire, features a range of remarkable businesses and brands from across the region, showcasing the diversity and quality of manufacturing expertise available here.

It offers a glimpse into the breadth of skills, technologies, and experience present within York and North Yorkshire, further underscoring why this region is such a dynamic place to do business, invest, and live.

We are proud to represent our region in such a prominent way, contributing to the local economy and playing our part in Yorkshire’s manufacturing success story. Over the past two years, we have created 20 new jobs, and we remain committed to fostering growth and opportunity within our community.

Renovations at Tadweld HQ

Aside from working on larger-scale projects for our clients, we have also been hard at work converting and upgrading our own warehouse.

One of our key work areas is being transformed into a dedicated production cell, equipped with the latest in state-of-the-art technology, including laser welding systems.

As part of this upgrade, we are installing:

Durable resin flooring designed for heavy-duty use
A new fume extraction system to ensure a safer and cleaner work environment
Energy-efficient lighting to reduce our environmental footprint
A range of new equipment to support our team’s productivity and innovation

These improvements reflect our commitment to staying at the cutting edge of manufacturing technology, while also providing our team with a modern, efficient workspace. We can’t wait to see how this new setup enhances our operations and supports future growth.
